Advanced Clinical is a company that needed a new website built in Drupal. This project required custom scripts to be written to handle daily C.R.U.D functions of both job and resume data stored in an external database. The site services a nice clientele for both job recruiters and professionals in the biomedical area. As an outside consultant, I handled any and all Drupal projects required by this site. |

The Video Portal was designed to hold all of Science Magazine's video content and present it to a user in a easy to use interface. The site works using a PHP back-end that connects to the Brightcove media API. The site is also functions on mobile devices.
As the developer on this project I was assigned to take the design given to me and build the site from that, including the PHP classes, Jquery, and API interfaces. |

This piece shows the figures of Good and Evil playing each other in a game of chess. Both sides are locked in a stale mate, as is shown by each side taking the same pieces. Good is personified by an older man in all white, he is right handed and has a sculptor's tool behind his ear (symbolizing good creates and evil destroys). Evil wears all black, appears to be left handed, sits on the left, and his right hand is making the devil horns sign. The same person is used to symbolize both characters, representing the ability for all people to be both good, and evil. |

This design was a submission to the web based clothing retailer Threadless.com. The design features a pirate deer, which is a play on the name buccaneer. 8 colors are used and half tone patters are utilized to create shading effects. |
Bob Ross was the host of the PBS show, "The Joy of Painting," in which he would offer instruction on how to paint oil landscapes. One of his many talents was painting trees at an astounding speed. That was my inspiration for this Maya animation. The animation itself was a project for a 3D modeling class I took, while at RIT. It was modeled and animated in Maya, the frames were then rendered and assembled in Adobe After Affects. |
Hi, I'm Andrew Whitesell and I design things. I first discovered my passion for design and multimedia when I started coming up with ideas for Super Nintendo games back in the early ‘90s. Being interested in both computers and art, I created my first website in 1997. Six years later, I enrolled in the New Media program at RIT where my knowledge and skill base grew.
